Maureen holds a master’s degree in Epidemiology and Disease Control and is passionate about gynecological cancer advocacy and prevention.

She has worked with reputable organizations such as APHRC, Mount Kenya University, Compassion Kenya, and KILELE Health, contributing to research and initiatives focused on cancer prevention and public health.

Maureen has developed expertise in cancer epidemiology through over five years of experience in cancer research and prevention.

Willy is a dedicated public health professional and researcher with extensive experience in project administration, health systems research, and capacity building. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Kisii University.

Currently serving as the Project Administration Coordinator at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Willy plays a key role in managing budgets, procurement, and logistics while supporting research and policy implementation. His previous roles as a Project Research Officer at JICA and Research Assistant at Health and Development Service (HANDS) have equipped him with strong expertise in data collection, analysis, and the development of research tools and training materials.

As the Board Treasurer of AFOCRA, Willy is committed to advancing cancer research and advocacy across Africa.

Erick is a dynamic and detail-oriented lawyer with extensive experience in legal research, case management, project oversight, and monitoring & evaluation. With a background spanning public service and civil society, he has honed his expertise in legal advisory, alternative dispute resolution, and community engagement.

His previous experience includes working as a legal researcher, advocate trainee, and social auditor, where he provided legal counsel, facilitated civic education, and contributed to policy discussions.

Passionate about justice and legal empowerment, Erick has participated in various capacity-building initiatives, engaging with judiciary officials, NGOs, and community-based organizations. His certifications in mediation and community engagement further highlight his commitment to fostering accessible and fair legal solutions.
Erick is passionate about leveraging his legal expertise to support AFOCRA in driving forward its mission to combat cancer and improve health outcomes for communities across Kenya.

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics with Computing from Maasai Mara University, Edmond has gained extensive experience in data management, analysis, and project coordination across various organizations, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), World Food Programme, GiveDirectly, and Evidence Action.

Passionate about continuous learning and innovation, Edmond aspires to contribute to global data solutions, leveraging his expertise to enhance decision-making processes in various sectors.
